Jin10 data reported on August 25, Citigroup strategist Jason Williams stated in a report that Citigroup has slightly updated some of its forecasts for the year-end yield levels of U.S. Treasury bonds, but is very confident in its long-standing forecast for the 10-year Treasury yield. He said the institution still expects the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield to reach 4.10% by the end of the year, consistent with its predictions since last year. However, Citigroup has moderately updated other benchmark points to better align with its views on a steeper curve and lower policy interest rates expected for 2026. Citigroup's new baseline forecast for the 2-year U.S. Treasury yield is 3.50%; for the 5-year Treasury yield is 3.65%, and for the 30-year Treasury yield is 4.70%.
