Arbitrum exited its accelerator program after Nvidia refused to cooperate with encryption companies.
CoinVoice has recently learned that, according to The Block, the Ethereum Layer 2 network Arbitrum Foundation has announced its withdrawal from the NVIDIA-supported Ignition AI Accelerator program, due to the chip giant's requirement that no mention of the collaboration be made in cryptocurrency-related announcements. The two parties had previously planned to reach an exclusive partnership, with Arbitrum being the only representative of the Ethereum ecosystem in the AI acceleration program.
A spokesperson for the Arbitrum Foundation stated that NVIDIA recently changed its stance, willing to maintain cooperation but prohibiting public disclosure, which shows its lack of long-term commitment to the encryption field. This accelerator program was originally intended to provide AI development guidance and cloud service credits for Arbitrum. It is noteworthy that another public chain, Aptos, still maintains its partnership with this accelerator. The foundation emphasized that the decision to withdraw was based on business considerations, and in the future, it will choose "partners that fully support blockchain innovation."
