According to Techub News and reported by Cointelegraph, after the U.S. Department of Justice scaled back its enforcement of Crypto Assets, Samourai Wallet's CEO Keonne Rodriguez and Chief Technology Officer William Hill's attorney wrote to Manhattan Federal Judge Richard Berman, requesting to "extend the pre-trial motion deadline by 16 days."

Rodriguez and Hill were charged in April 2024 with conspiracy to launder money and operating an unlicensed money transfer business, but both have pleaded not guilty. Currently, the motion deadline for the case is May 13, with a response deadline of June 10 and a reply deadline of June 24. This letter suggests postponing the motion date to May 29, the response date to June 26, and the reply date to July 10. The trial date remains unaffected and is still set for early November.
