Ethereum L2 Scroll has completed the Euclid Phase 1 upgrade.

Ethereum's ZK-Rollup, Scroll, has just completed the Euclid upgrade, achieving decentralized standard phase 1. This upgrade was passed through community voting in March.

The main content includes: preventing transaction censorship, allowing transactions to be submitted to the main network via smart contracts even when the operator is inactive. The OpenVM tool has been developed to address the capacity limitations of ZK proofs, allowing large transactions to be split for verification.

A 12-member security council has been established, of which only 2 members belong to Scroll, and important decisions require the agreement of 9 people. Rollups typically start in Stage 0, then move to Stage 1 with managed smart contracts, and finally to Stage 2 where the system operates automatically without being controlled by a central operator.
