Critical crypto meeting at the SEC: Date announced

The SEC's ( Crypto Asset Task Force announced the agenda and panelists for the roundtable titled "Tokenization - Moving Assets to the Chain: The Intersection of Traditional Finance and DeFi" to be held on May 12.

Crypto Task Force leader Hester M. Peirce stated that tokenization technology has the potential to fundamentally change many aspects of financial markets, saying, "I eagerly await hearing our panelists' thoughts on how the SEC should approach this area."

The event announced in March will take place at the SEC's headquarters in Washington D.C. on Sunday, May 12, between 20:00 and 00:30 Turkey time. The meeting will be open to the public and will be broadcast live on the SEC's official website.

On the other hand, the SEC also announced that the roundtable meeting titled "DeFi and the American Spirit," which was previously scheduled to take place on June 6, has been postponed to June 9.

Representatives from important companies in the crypto sector, such as Securitize, Robinhood, and Chia Network, will participate in the panel. Officials from leading institutions, including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Fidelity from the traditional finance world, will also attend the event.
