In the current market environment, we need to recognize one fact: this is neither a repeat of 2017 nor 2021. Alts are unlikely to soar comprehensively.
A common misconception is stubbornly holding onto digital currencies that have no prospects. These assets often lack market attention and price volatility, yet some investors mistakenly regard them as 'potential stocks'. However, this so-called 'ambush' strategy can actually be a dangerous trap.
In the current market, blindly holding alts may lead to two adverse outcomes: either stagnating while other coins rise, or suffering greater losses when the market declines. Although there may occasionally be coins that experience a brief surge due to unexpected positive news, the probability of this happening is extremely low, akin to buying a lottery ticket.
The future trend of alts can be divided into two main types: a small portion may experience a main upward wave with both volume and price rising; but more often, there will be a slight increase followed by making high-position buyers into 'cash cows'. Unfortunately, what most investors hold is often the latter.
Many investors get trapped after buying at high prices, checking daily without seeing any improvement, and unwilling to cut losses in time, fantasizing about miraculously breaking even. However, this mindset often leads not to breaking even, but ultimately to zero. When the market is good, funds are occupied by inferior assets, and by the time the market ends, the losses will only be more severe.
Our purpose in participating in the market is to make a profit, not to cultivate some kind of sentiment. Therefore, when it is time to cut losses, we must do so decisively, and when it is time to exit, we must do so without hesitation, without wasting a bull market opportunity for the project party.
Sincere suggestion: The bull market is limited in time, and the rule of the strong getting stronger still applies. Following market trends is the wise choice. Ethereum (ETH) is still one of the mainstream coins worth paying attention to.
