According to CoinDesk, Tally, an on-chain governance tool, closed an $8 million Series A funding round, led by Appworks and Blockchain Capital, with participation from BitGo and others. The company aims to solve the problem of low voter participation in DAOs by introducing a stake mechanism that rewards active governance participants, helping protocols such as Arbitrum, Uniswap DAO, ZKsync, Wormhole, Eigenlayer, Obol, and Hyperlane to effectively govern their DAOs on-chain. Tally had previously raised $7.5 million in two funding rounds in 2021.
