TON announced the closure of the Toncoin cross-chain bridges in May 2025.
According to Gate.io News bot, as reported by Wu, TON officially announced that it will close the Toncoin Bridge, which has been in operation for nearly 4 years, on May 10, 2025. After the closure, users will not be able to transfer Toncoin from TON to Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain through this bridge.
TON stated that users can still claim the cross-chain assets they completed earlier. Currently, the bridging function of Toncoin to TON remains available, and its termination time will be announced later.
