On April 28, local time, on Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Russia to stop its attacks on Ukraine, saying he was disappointed that Russia continued to attack Ukraine. Trump also said his one-on-one talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Vatican on Saturday went well. "I think he's calmer. I think he understands the situation, I think he wants to make a deal," Trump said of Zelenskyy. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the Trump administration could abandon efforts to broker a deal if Russia and Ukraine do not make progress.
